Introducing Usercentrics , the Consent Management Platform (CMP) now available free in Web Wisconsin's App store. With Usercentrics, you'll enable your sites to comply with internal privacy and data collection regulations such as GDPR.
Usercentrics enables businesses to obtain and document consent, so site visitors can control third-party technologies on the website. Usercentrics follows the industry gold standard IAB Transparency and Consent Framework. Adding it to your website enables you to go to market seamlessly, without having to worry about which tracking code does what, and which data it collects.
How Usercentrics works
Usercenterics works as follows:
1.) Identifies a website’s data collection and tracking technologies and prevents them from loading.
2.) Obtains consent from site visitors to load tracking technologies.
3.) Gives site visitors control over which tracking technologies they allow to load and provides information about them.
Usercentrics integrates seamlessly into your site, and takes just a few steps to install.
After installation, a new floating widget and cookie consent banner is added to your website. By default, tracking scripts and third-party embedded code will not load for site visitors. This means visitors won’t be tracked by analytics such as Google Analytics, and services that perform tracking like YouTube, Facebook and SoundCloud won’t fully load until the user enables them.
Free version, now in the App store
We are releasing the free version first. This version scans websites, identifies technologies used and classifies them. It adds a widget to the website which allows visitors to opt-in to tracking.
Stay tuned - we’ll be releasing a paid version in the future, one which gives you more design control and complies with other data privacy legislation like CCPA, consent analytics, and more.
To get started with Usercentrics right now, open the App Store, add it to your site, and follow the instructions.
